Stella wants her groove back! Stella was adopted from Cascade a year ago and has been very well taken care of. Her owner is faced with giving her back to Cascade because of a major work change and he does not feel it is fair to Stella since he will now be gone a lot.
Stella is in great health, loves people (after she gets in her welcome bark), loves kids (just visiting kids would be best), but does not like cats and would like to be the only dog. She loves car rides, short walks, being brushed, sunbathing, being a lap dog, and loves to be your constant shadow in the house. She prefers to sleep on the bed or sofa, but is content in her own floor bed if she must. Stella has great house manners, is potty trained, and is used to being a pampered Princess. She will need to stay on a low fat diet to maintain her womanly figure.
She does need to be watched when on a walk or encountering other dogs.Sometimes she doesn't mind, but other times she lunges at them. Her owner has been socializing a fair bit with the neighbor dogs to try and help her get over some of that. She has shown some growth and tolerates the neighbor dogs quite well now that she knows them. New dogs are less desirable to her.
Since Stella is in her Golden Years, she would like to live with someonewho is home most of the day or retired, and can give her the one on one attention she greatly loves.
